Garden Spot Village Resident and Pastor David Stambovsky will discuss an original, signed scroll (Megillah) of the entire book of Esther written in the original Hebrew on sheepskin parchment in the Ashkenazi Square Method. The parchment he will discuss is traceable to the 14th or 15th century in the Tembov region of Russia near Belarus. Pastor Stambovsky’s ancestors were persecuted Orthodox Ashkenazi Jews from Russia/Eastern Europe who immigrated to the United States in 1908. Pastor Stambovsky will also sing the book of Esther followed by a short question and response time.
