In Lancaster County, the number of restaurants to enjoy lunch can be overwhelming. With coffee shops on every corner and dozens of places for fine dining, it may be impossible to pick even one. So, if you’re looking for something with that welcoming and unique feel, here are a few options!  

Udder Choice 

This family-owned restaurant has been a part of Lancaster since 1989. With its barn-like feel and great customer service, you will be immediately comfortable and “taken back in time.” A resident who moved to Garden Spot recently says, “They have the best milkshakes in the area along with incredible sundaes!” With food varying from delicious sandwiches to creamy sundaes, there’s plenty of options!

Lickity Split 

Located on the corner of Main Street and Railroad Avenue in New Holland, Lickity Split offers a hometown, eccentric feel. Known for its ice cream, Lickity Split offers flavors from chocolate and vanilla to salted caramel truffle and Nittany paws. Also featuring nine different sundae flavors and so many great milkshake choices to pick from. However, if you’re looking for something a bit savory, they also offer soups, sandwiches, wraps, and many other great picks! Don’t forget to ask about their weekday specials!

Harvest Table 

For something a bit closer to home, The Harvest Table at Garden Spot Village is another delicious way to spend your lunch or dinner! Open from 11am to 1:30pm and then 4:30pm to 6:30 pm, the Harvest Table has many great options to choose from, all specially made by Garden Spot’s Sodexo staff. With new specials each week, sandwiches, a salad bar, and homemade pizza, it’s hard to find something you don’t want to try.

Fireside Café 

Offering a peaceful setting, this coffee shop is both comfortable and delicious. With an assortment of coffees, teas and smoothies, you can choose a custom drink that pairs perfectly with the restaurant’s breakfast and lunch options. Located on Toddy Drive in East Earl, the dine-in or drive-through options also give the space for an on-the-go meal or a relaxing sit-in.

Funck’s Restaurant

Looking for something a bit more formal? Funck’s Restaurant offers a great atmosphere with great food and drink. Opening at 11:30a.m., the menu is full of great options, from mouthwatering appetizers to palate-pleasing desserts. The half-baked chocolate chip cookie is very popular, and for a good reason! With its funky and eccentric atmosphere, Funck’s is the place to go!

Fox Meadows Creamery  

Known for fresh, homemade ice cream, Fox Meadows is always a terrific option. With locations in Ephrata and Leola, the ice cream menu travels from Madagascan Vanilla to Honeyed Lavender to Brown Butter Almond Brickle. Seasonal farm-fresh flavors include Foraged Pine and Rosemary or Candy Cane. But the flavor doesn’t just stop there. Choose your flavor and then ask for milkshakes, floats, or baked foxes. Handcrafted coffees, lattes and frappes offer a reason to stop by daily. With the cheery welcoming atmosphere and outside seating for beautiful sunny days, Fox Meadows is the perfect stop for any sweet treat craving! 

Lunch includes handcrafted sandwiches, soups and salads as well as sweet treats and is served from 11am-2:30pm, Monday through Saturday.
