Refreshing Mountain Retreat and Adventure Center is a hotspot for fun. With getaway cabins, zip lining and escape rooms, there is something for the whole family. Refreshing Mountain isn’t just for families, it caters to sports teams, co-workers, and mission teams. Eight Garden Spot Village residents and employees will be going to Nairobi, Kenya in September 2023 for a Travel with Purpose Trip. They recently participated in an escape room to connect their team.
Refreshing Mountain has four escape rooms: Funding the Dream, Circle T Ranch, On a Mission and Refreshing the Zoo. The Travel with Purpose team chose On a Mission and they were ready for the challenge. Each escape room allows one hour to escape, but you can add additional time if needed.
On a Mission is a medium level escape room at Refreshing Mountain. Escape rooms include puzzles, mind games and riddles. “Because most of the group had never done an escape room before, it was a great opportunity to work together as a team,” says Brandon Adams, Travel with Purpose co-leader and Garden Spot team member. This group was one of the firsts to try this escape room and made it out in an hour and 20 minutes.
Katie Kauffman, a Garden Spot Village resident since July 2021 and Travel with Purpose team member, says “I enjoyed getting to know the group better.” Each participant was grateful for the experience to grow as a team and learn each other’s strengths and weaknesses.
The team is excited to learn more about each other and serve with Missions of Hope International later this year. Refreshing Mountain Escape rooms are great for a rainy day, team building and so much more. Book here if you’re up for the challenge!
