Endeavor September 2024

September 4, 2024

Hello and Welcome to Endeavor – a monthly video update from Garden Spot Village, where you will discover abundant opportunities to live with purpose in community.

I’m Jason Kuntz, Director of Resident Life Experiences. Thank you for joining us this month for Endeavor.

We have a variety of events planned for September.

We kick off our Saturday Evening Concert Series on Saturday, September 21 with a performance by George Wesner. George has been the principal organist at Radio City Music Hall for more than 40 years. We are thankful for his friendship and the opportunity to share his music with you. The concert will be held at 7pm in the Chapel.

On Saturday, September 28 the Garden Spot Village Quilters will host a Quilt Fest from 9am to 3pm. Local Art historian Gloria Mast will provide a presentation on The Esprit Quilt Collection at 10am and The Quilts of Susie Riehl at 1pm. You can also view a collection of heirloom quilts dating to pre-civil war and watch quilting demonstrations. Quilts and other quilt-inspired items will be available for sale. And, don’t forget to stop by Linden, Share & Care and The Artisans Corner while you are here.

Also, on Saturday, September 28, the Train Room will host an Open House from 1:30-4pm. Stop in with the children in your life to experience a one-of-a-kind display. Our Train Room Open Houses are free and open to the public, but donations are always welcome.

We invite you to mark your calendar for Saturday, October 19 when Garden Spot Village will participate in Explore Retirement Living. This day-long open house will be held at 17 participating non-profit retirement communities in Lancaster County. Learn more about retirement living at Garden Spot Village and tour open homes.
