Endeavor November 2024

November 6, 2024

Hello and Welcome to Endeavor – a monthly video update from Garden Spot Village, where you will discover abundant opportunities to live with purpose in community.

I’m Jason Kuntz, Director of Resident Life Experiences. Thank you for joining us this month for Endeavor.

We have a variety of events planned for November that will get you in a festive spirit.

There will be a medley of performances this month in the Chapel. On Monday November 11 at 7pm the New Holland Band presents “Thank You Veterans”. Enjoy tunes that will keep service members marching and remind us of all of those who served. Tickets can be purchased at newhollandband.org

Saturday November 16, at 7pm we welcome the Kennett Trio as part of the Saturday Evening Concert Series. This trio includes resident Bob Hoch on clarinet, Martin Beech on the violin and viola and Donna Beech on the piano. Bring a friend and enjoy an evening of melodies.

At the end of the month we are honored to host Servant Stage and their performance of Christmas Crooners. A show that will feature timeless carols with a modern twist and will be sure to get you into the Christmas Spirit. There are two dates, Friday November 29 and Saturday November 30 both at 7pm.

If you haven’t started your Christmas shopping yet have no fear. The shops at Garden Spot Village have the perfect gift for everyone on your list. On Thursday November 14 Linden will host the Winter Fashion and Holiday Gift Show at 2pm in the Chapel. Linden will stay open until 4:30 pm to give you more time to shop. Maybe you’ll pick up a shirt like the one I’m wearing. November 14 to 16 Share and Care will offer a Holiday Entertaining Sale.

And last, Saturday November 16 from 10am til 2pm the Artisans Corner will host a Creative Showcase. 11 different resident artisans will demonstrate their craft in the Village Park. See how the one of a kind pieces are made and then stop by the Artisans Corner and get your loved one a truly unique gift.

We believe everyone deserves a safe, affordable home in a supportive community. On Friday, November 22 we will host a Cooperative Living and Giving Day where we will be raising funds and volunteer support for completing the newest Cooperative house, which will offer safe, affordable housing for 5 people. Stop by the Concord Room this day from 11am-2pm to show your support.
