Hello and Welcome to Endeavor – a monthly video update from Garden Spot Village, where you will discover the abundant opportunities to live with purpose in community.
I’m Colleen Musselman, director of Life Enrichment. Thank you for joining me this month for Endeavor.
This September, Garden Spot Village celebrates 25 years! Esther Sideman was welcomed as the very first person to move into her new home at Garden Spot Village. We lovingly refer to Esther as the “Queen of GSV”. How fitting that on September 8 we celebrate with a Medieval theatrical dinner we’re calling Dinner with the Queen. Of course, Esther will join us! Full costumed actors from Roundtable Productions will perform including a joust, blacksmithing and more. Although this period event is a resident exclusive event, the evening ends with a fireworks display which the public is invited to view throughout the local community.
Speaking of local community, GSV continues to partner with CrossNet Ministries to provide a monthly meal for those in need of a warm dinner or in need of socializing. We await the day when we can again serve indoors but in the meantime, the meal is available as take-out. Visit the GSV or CrossNet websites to learn how you can become involved in this local meal ministry.
GSV will also participate in the New Holland Parade, Wednesday, September 29 in partnership with CrossNet Ministries. Be sure to wave and shout as we ride past in the GSV wagon. We’ll also be collecting food for the New Holland Food Pantry as we ride and walk through the parade. So be sure to let us know if you have non-perishable food items to place in the wheelbarrows and on the wagon.
We just posted the September issue of the Garden Variety on the Events page of the Garden Spot Village website. At this time, events are only available for residents. But – we invite you to take time to read the articles and learn more about Garden Spot Village.
This has been Endeavor from Garden Spot Village, where you will discover abundant opportunities to live with purpose in community.
I’m Colleen Musselman and I look forward to seeing you again soon.
