A Day in the Life

“You can always go to busy.”

That’s the philosophy of Rita McEldorney, a resident since November 2025, of the Sycamore Springs neighborhood at Garden Spot Village since November 2025.

Rita enjoys volunteering and gardening, but when adventure calls, her home at this 55+ community in Lancaster County, PA puts destinations Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington, D.C. and New York City within reach. She can enjoy a day in the city and still return home for dinner with family, catered by Signature by Garden Spot Catering.

For Rita, life at Garden Spot Village means having the freedom to explore and live where every adventure begins and every day ends at home.

Your Story Matters

“Our home in the Sycamore Springs neighborhood takes the work out of home maintenance, giving me more time for gardening, volunteering, visiting friends, traveling with my girls and spending time with my grandchildren. It also gives my husband the flexibility to continue working without coming home to a list of maintenance projects. It’s a blessing to live in a community that gives us more freedom and so many opportunities to live with purpose.”
